Reaping Post: Mayor Undersee
Sometimes I wonder if I’m a go enough mayor for district 12. I wonder if I am doing all I can to help the people living in this district. Every year at this time I have to stand of in front of the crowd and watch two of the town’s precious children get taken away for us to watch their gruesome murder and the capital just takes it all for a fun game. I sometimes wonder what I would do if my little girl gets chosen but the image is so brutal in my mind that I have to stop thinking about it. The thought of me living in a mansion with my family all safe from the hunger the people face make me want to cry. I see the pain of the district and I can’t do a thing to help it makes feel helpless and of no use to the people. I know they know it’s not up to me but being the mayor and knowing that they look up to me I wish I could help them more. I now have to watch the mothers and fathers hope and wish that their child or any of their children’s names get called. The look of worry and sadness sometimes the look of hunger takes over the look of pain. I stand here and I wonder when will this all end when will our children have a say in how they die and not just taken to the slaughter pit.

Reaping Post: Primrose
Prim wakes up knowing that today it the first day that she will be entered into the reaping. Although she only has her name in once she can’t help but feel scared. Her main thought is of her sister Katniss who has her name entered in twenty-four times. She holds on to Katniss’s hand as they walk to reaping to be signed in and lined up. They don’t stand next to each other but find each other and lock eyes. they face the front when Effie Trinket, the woman from the capital that will be drawing the names, walk to the microphone  and says she will begin by selecting a name from the bowl with the girl’s names. They all watch her walk to the bowl and then back to the microphone, after opening the paper with the name inside she reads Primrose’s name. For a moment Prim stands in disbelieve then starts walking toward the stage. She then hears Katniss shouting out “I volunteer” she turns to tell Katniss “no” but then Katniss grabs prim and puts her behind her. Gale comes and picks Prim up and takes her to her mother. Effie calls Katniss on stage and asks her to tell her name, Katniss look out at the crowd and says, “Katniss Everdeen.”

Reaping Post: Haymitch

That day of the year is here again, the day when a boy and a girl  is chosen to be in the hunger games. Effie Trinket the woman calling the names seems to be the most excited person today. She’s walking around getting everything ready for the BIG SHOW! that’s what they all think it is. Today children are scared to know their names might be called and parents are scared  to know that their child’s name may get drawn and and they will have go to a place to possible die. All the girls and boys are now lining up to get singed in and then to be arrange for the reaping. Effie Trinket begins by selecting a name from the blow with the girl’s names she walks back to the microphone and calls Primrose Everdeen. After hearing her name Primrose Everdeen walks slowly toward the stage but stops when  a girl shouts I volunteered and runs toward her. Primrose Everdeen cries to her and says no but then a young man took her to a woman that appeares to be her mother.  The young girl that volunteered then made her way to the stage and was asked to tell her name by Effie Trinket she to look at the crowed and said “Katniss Everdeen.”

Reaping day: Effie Trinket
I can’t believe it’s reaping day already, the most exhilarating day of the year and I have the honor of selecting the boy and girl that will be taking part in the 74th annual hunger games. How exciting! I being by picking a name from the girls bowl and read Primrose Everdeen. As I look at this little girl walking toward me I realize another young girl running to Primrose Everedeen screaming “I volunteer.” The girl pulls primrose behind her and walks to the steps. I look at her for a second unsure what to do; the mayor then assures me it’s ok so I call her on stage. I watch her walk on the stage trembling and scared as Primrose Everdeen is screaming in the back ‘”no Katniss” I then asked her to tell everyone her name her name and she looks up at the crowd and say’s “Katniss Everdeen” I realize that the young girl had volunteered for her sister. I couldn’t help but think how sweet it was for Katniss to volunteer for her sister but I knew this year’s hunger games was going to be exciting we never had a volunteer before so Katniss Everdeen is definitely going to be  treat to watch.
